Keuffel and Esser compasses

 Keuffel and Esser Compasses

Keuffel and Esser was a drafting instrument and supplies company founded in 1867 by german immigrants William Keuffel and Herman Esser.
It was the first American company to specialise in these products. In 1875 K and E started selling surveying instruments and was incorporated in 1889.
These two compasses are identical and were manufactured around 1915.








 Parallel Ruler - Stanley 1873 

This is a beautiful example of a parallel ruler and case. There is a date  of 1873 marked on the original trade label.

​The address shows that it is probably circa 1940s but probably made in London.
