  T.Peacock - Miners Compass
Thomas Peacock was born in Glasgow and trained as an optician and mathematical instrument maker. He arrived in New Zealand in 1862.
He operated his business at 11 Shortland Street,Auckland ,became Mayor of Auckland in 1878 and progressed to be elected to Parliament in 1878. This compass is circa 1870s.
