Charles Suffell Level
Charles Suffell was a mathematical and optical instrument maker and retailer who worked at 132 Long Acre London from 1835 to 1865.

It would appear that the instrument was sold or serviced by J & W E Archbutt at some stage. This retailer and instrument maker was established in 1796.

This level would be circa 1850 to 1860 and weighs 3.45 kg.
