Troughton and Simms level
This level is the largest Troughton and Simms level in my collection, measuring about 44cm fully extended.

The accessories included in the dovetailed mahogany box include a striding mirror, compass magnifier, sun shade and additional eye piece.

I would estimate that this instrument is circa 1860.
