Theodolite Accesory Kit

In nearly 20 years of  collecting and extensive research this is the only accessory kit that I have ever seen for a four foot screw theodolite.

I consider  the set to be extremely rare.

The kit consists of a lantern, lantern holder, diagonal eyepiece, trough compass and striding bubble all complete in a dovetailed mahogany box.

The lantern and compass are very typical of the accessories in the Troughton & Simms theodolite imported by Wiesener so I believe that this set was also made by Troughton & Simms.
